Our History
We’re always looking ahead, but sometimes it’s nice to reflect on how far we’ve come.
Spinutech was founded in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 2000, right after the dot-com bubble burst.
A lot has changed since then — we’ve grown from three college kids working out of our apartments to a team of more than 170 talented individuals working across our three offices and more than 30 states — but what hasn’t is our passion for what we do and our commitment to helping clients overcome, achieve, and grow.
2000
Three University of Northern Iowa students, working out of their college apartments, start Spinutech.
What we lacked in experience, we made up for in passion. We joined the local chamber, networked with the more established crowd, and made our presence known. One thing that helped us stand out was our content management system, Spinternet.
2003
We moved into our first official space in downtown Cedar Falls.
We had a little less hair on our heads, but a lot more room to grow our team. By this time, we had a burgeoning list of clients across several states and were beginning to build many of the partnerships we maintain today. Just two years later, we moved into our current Cedar Falls office and “world headquarters.”
2006
Our first office in Des Moines opens with a whopping two team members.
This move allowed us to better serve our expanding team and many of our clients in the Des Moines area.
2013
We moved our Des Moines operations into our current office complex in Clive.
As we kept adding to our team, we needed more space to work in and meet with clients. Eventually we made our relationship status official with our Des Moines office and hung our company sign on the building for all to see from Interstate 80/35.
2015
We became a Google Partner!
Our cutting-edge technology and history of proven success helped earn us this badge, which in turn opened up the doors for us to better maximize our clients’ Google Ads performances.
2017
We became a Google Premier Partner!
This prestigious status is the highest Google-certified badge an agency can earn and is based on the number of team member Google certifications, history of large managed ad spend, and proven conversion performance.
2018
We made the Inc. 5000 list!
We ranked 2,045 of 5,000 on Inc.’s annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America. And we did it again in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022
2021
Spinutech, Inc. merged with Tampa-based Bayshore Solutions to form Spinutech, LLC.
The move brought together more than 160 subject matter experts covering all areas of digital marketing and website development. Merging the two agencies enabled us to offer clients throughout North America a broader range of digital agency services with a deeper bench of talent.
2022
We became a badged Meta Business Partner!
In addition to being named a Meta Business Partner, Spinutech was certified as a Google Marketing Platform Partner in the area of Analytics, exceeding Google's rigorous performance standards for excellence.
Today
We serve clients in all 50 states and ten countries.
